Here’s a classic Black Cherry Jello Salad recipe—sweet, fruity, and creamy, perfect for potlucks or holiday tables 🍒


🍒 Black Cherry Jello Salad

Ingredients (serves 6–8)

  • 1 (6 oz) package black cherry Jell-O
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling (or fresh/frozen cherries)
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1 cup whipped topping (Cool Whip)

Instructions

  1. Dissolve Jello
    • In a large bowl, pour boiling water over the Jell-O. Stir until completely dissolved.
    • Add cold water and stir again.
  2. Add fruit & extras
    • Stir in cherry pie filling, pineapple, marshmallows, and nuts (if using).
  3. Chill
    • Refrigerate at least 4 hours, or until set.
  4. Fold in whipped topping
    • Once the Jello mixture is firm, gently fold in whipped topping for a creamy texture.
  5. Serve
    • Scoop into a bowl or mold. Garnish with extra cherries or nuts if desired.

💡 Tips

  • For a lighter version, use sugar-free Jello and light whipped topping.
  • Mini marshmallows help add chewiness and contrast to the soft fruit.
  • Can be made a day ahead—just fold in the whipped topping right before serving for fluffier texture.
