Ingredients (makes 1 large pizza)

Dough

  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara
  • Optional: 1/2 tsp garlic powder or chili flakes

Cheese

  • 2–2½ cups shredded mozzarella
  • Optional: 1/4 cup grated Parmesan

Meat Toppings (pick all or your favorites)

  • 1/2 cup cooked ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 cup ham or Canadian bacon
  • Optional extras: salami, chorizo, prosciutto (add after baking)

Optional Flavor Boosters

  • Crushed red pepper
  • Garlic butter for brushing crust
  • BBQ sauce drizzle or hot honey (after baking)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • Heat oven to 475°F (245°C) (or as hot as your oven allows).
    • Place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.
  2. Prep dough
    • Stretch dough into a 12–14 inch circle on parchment.
    • Dock lightly with a fork.
  3. Sauce & cheese
    • Spread sauce evenly, leaving a 1-inch border.
    • Add a generous layer of mozzarella (save a little for the top).
  4. Pile on the meat
    • Evenly distribute all cooked meats.
    • Finish with remaining cheese and Parmesan.
  5. Bake
    • Slide pizza (with parchment) onto the hot stone/sheet.
    • Bake 10–14 minutes, until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  6. Finish & serve
    • Brush crust with garlic butter if desired.
    • Add any post-bake meats (like prosciutto), slice, and devour.

  • Cook meats first to avoid greasy pizza.
  • For extra crisp, par-bake the crust 3–4 minutes before topping.
  • Balance the richness with a side salad or pickled peppers.
