Here’s a classic Baked Pineapple Casserole—sweet, buttery, and slightly savory. It’s a Southern favorite, especially for holidays and potlucks 🍍🧀


Baked Pineapple Casserole

Serves 6–8

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (20 oz each) crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 sleeve buttery crackers (like Ritz), crushed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish (8×8 or similar).
  2. Mix filling
    In a large bowl, combine drained pineapple, sugar, flour, and cheddar cheese. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Transfer to dish
    Spread mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Prepare topping
    Mix crushed crackers with melted butter. Sprinkle evenly over the pineapple mixture.
  5. Bake
    Bake for 25–30 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
  6. Serve warm
    Let cool slightly before serving.

💡 Tips & Variations

  • Use sharp cheddar for the best sweet–savory contrast
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon for warmth
  • Works great as a side dish with ham or as a dessert
  • Can be made ahead and baked just before serving
