Here’s a simple, delicious Bacon-Wrapped Sausage recipe — perfect for appetizers, breakfast, or party snacks. Sweet, salty, smoky, and super easy!


🥓 Bacon-Wrapped Sausage

Ingredients

  • 1 lb smoked sausage or kielbasa
    OR 1 package mini cocktail sausages (Lil’ Smokies)
  • 1 lb bacon (thin-cut works best for crisping)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (optional but highly recommended)
  • Optional seasonings:
    • 1/2 tsp black pepper
    • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
    • 1/4 tsp cayenne for heat
    • BBQ sauce for brushing

Instructions

1. Preheat

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top (helps crisp the bacon).

2. Cut & wrap

For a full-size sausage:

  • Slice sausage into 1 to 1.5-inch pieces.
  • Cut each bacon slice into thirds.
  • Wrap each sausage piece tightly with bacon and secure with a toothpick.

For mini sausages:

  • Cut bacon slices into thirds OR halves (depending on sausage size).
  • Wrap each one with bacon and secure with a toothpick.

3. Coat (optional but amazing)

  • Sprinkle brown sugar generously over each bacon-wrapped sausage.
    This caramelizes and makes them sticky and sweet.
  • Add pepper, garlic powder, or cayenne if desired.

4. Bake

  • Bake 25–35 minutes until bacon is browned and crispy.
  • For extra crispiness, broil the last 2–3 minutes (watch closely).

5. Serve

  • Serve warm as appetizers or alongside eggs, pancakes, or on a game-day platter.
  • Optional: Brush with BBQ sauce in the final 5 minutes for a glaze.

⭐ Tips & Variations

Sweet Heat Version

Sprinkle brown sugar + cayenne for a sweet spicy kick.

BBQ Version

Brush with BBQ sauce halfway through baking.

Maple Version

Drizzle maple syrup instead of brown sugar before baking.

Air Fryer Method

Air fry at 375°F for 10–14 minutes, shaking halfway.
