Here’s a simple, cozy Apple Pie Bread recipe—it tastes like apple pie in loaf form 🍎🥧


Apple Pie Bread

Ingredients

Apple Filling

  • 2 cups apples, peeled & diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Bread Batter

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¾ cup sugar (white or half white/half brown)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ cup milk (or buttermilk)

Optional Topping

  • Cinnamon sugar or streusel (butter + flour + brown sugar)

Instructions

  1. Prep
    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
    • Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan
  2. Make Apple Filling
    • Toss apples with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch
    • Set aside
  3. Make Batter
    • Whisk butter and sugar together
    • Add eggs and vanilla
    • In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon
    • Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to wet mixture
  4. Assemble
    • Pour half the batter into the pan
    • Add half the apple mixture
    • Repeat layers
    • Swirl gently with a knife
    • Add topping if using
  5. Bake
    • Bake 50–60 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean
    • Cool 10–15 minutes before removing from pan

Serving Ideas

  • Warm with butter
  • Drizzle with vanilla glaze
  • Toast leftovers for breakfast 😋
