Tips & Variations
-
Apple types: Use firm apples like Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji for texture.
-
Spices: Add ginger, allspice, or cardamom for a warm twist.
-
Moisture: Sour cream or yogurt can replace part of the milk for extra moist bread.
-
Topping: Sprinkle sugar or cinnamon sugar on top before baking for a crunchy crust.
-
Mini loaves: Divide batter into mini loaf pans to bake smaller portions (reduce baking time to 30–40 minutes).
This bread is moist, flavorful, and perfectly spiced, and it gets even better the next day as the flavors meld.
I can also give a quick version that uses grated apple for extra moisture—it makes the bread super soft and almost cake-like. Do you want that version?
