Amish Concoction

Ingredients (9×13-inch pan)

  • 1 package (18–20 oz) chocolate cake mix
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed (like Cool Whip)
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Prepare the cake mix
    • Spread dry cake mix evenly in the bottom of the greased pan.
    • Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cake mix.
    • Do not stir.
  3. Add whipped topping
    • Spread whipped topping over the top of the cake mix and milk layer.
    • Sprinkle chopped nuts evenly if desired.
  4. Bake
    • Bake 35–40 minutes, or until edges are set and the top is lightly golden.
    • Cool completely before slicing into squares.
