Air fryer potatoes

Here’s a simple and delicious way to make Air Fryer Potatoes—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside:


Ingredients (serves 2–4)

  • 1 lb (450 g) potatoes (russet, Yukon gold, or red), cut into 1-inch cubes or wedges
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp paprika or smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley or rosemary for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer
    • Preheat to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  2. Prepare potatoes
    • Toss the potato cubes/wedges in olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Air fry
    • Place potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding for maximum crispiness.
    • Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  4. Check for doneness
    • Potatoes should be golden brown and crispy outside, tender inside. Cook an extra 2–3 minutes if needed.
  5. Serve
    • Garnish with fresh parsley or rosemary and serve hot as a side dish or snack.

Tips:

  • For extra crispy potatoes, soak cut potatoes in cold water for 20–30 minutes before cooking, then pat dry.
  • Experiment with seasonings: chili powder, Parmesan cheese, or Cajun spices make delicious variations.
