Air fryer baked sweet potato

Here’s a simple and delicious way to make a baked sweet potato in the air fryer—crispy on the outside, tender and fluffy on the inside, in a fraction of the time it takes in the oven. 🍠


Ingredients

  • 1–2 medium sweet potatoes
  • 1 tsp olive oil (optional)
  • Salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the sweet potatoes
    • Wash and scrub sweet potatoes thoroughly.
    • Pat dry.
    • Optional: Rub lightly with olive oil and sprinkle a pinch of salt.
  2. Preheat air fryer
    • Set to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  3. Cook
    • Place sweet potatoes in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
    • Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 35–40 minutes, turning halfway through.
    • Check doneness by inserting a fork—it should slide in easily.
  4. Serve
    • Slice open and add your favorite toppings: butter, cinnamon, brown sugar, sour cream, or a drizzle of maple syrup.

Tips for the Perfect Air-Fried Sweet Potato

  • Size matters: Try to pick sweet potatoes of similar size for even cooking.
  • Crispier skin: Rub with a little oil before cooking.
  • Faster cooking: Slice in half lengthwise for 20–25 minutes instead of baking whole.
