Here’s an easy, rich, No-Bake Chocolate Oat Bars recipe—soft, chewy, chocolatey, and perfect for a quick dessert or snack. Ready in minutes!


🍫✨ No-Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

Ingredients

Oat Layer

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups old-fashioned oats (not quick oats)

Chocolate Filling

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Pan

  • Line an 8×8 or 9×9 baking pan with parchment or lightly grease it.

2. Make the Oat Mixture

  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat.
  2. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 2 minutes, stirring.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  4. Add oats and mix until everything is well coated.

3. Melt the Chocolate Layer

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and peanut butter
    —heat in 20–30 second bursts, stirring until smooth.
    Or melt gently on the stovetop.

4. Assemble

  1. Press half of the oat mixture into the bottom of your pan.
  2. Pour the chocolate mixture over it and spread evenly.
  3. Crumble or press the remaining oat mixture on top.

5. Chill

  • Refrigerate for 2–3 hours, or until firm enough to cut.

6. Serve

  • Slice into bars and enjoy!
  • Store in the refrigerator (they stay firm and delicious all week).

  • Add ¼ tsp salt to the oats for a salted-chocolate flavor.
  • Stir ½ cup chopped nuts into the oat layer.
  • Use dark chocolate for a richer bar.
  • Add ½ cup shredded coconut for a chewy twist.
  • Drizzle white chocolate on top for decoration.
