Classic BLT sandwich

Here’s a simple, classic BLT (Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato) sandwich recipe that’s crispy, fresh, and full of flavor.


🥪 Classic BLT Sandwich

Ingredients (per sandwich)

  • 2 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
  • 3–4 slices cooked bacon (crispy)
  • 2–3 leaves of lettuce (Romaine or iceberg work well)
  • 2–3 slices ripe tomato
  • 1–2 teaspoons mayonnaise (or more to taste)
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Bacon

  • Fry bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy.
  • Drain on paper towels.

2️⃣ Toast the Bread

  • Lightly toast the bread slices for extra crunch.

3️⃣ Assemble the Sandwich

  • Spread mayonnaise on one or both slices of bread.
  • Layer lettuce leaves on the bottom slice.
  • Add tomato slices and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  • Top with crispy bacon.
  • Place the second slice of bread on top.

4️⃣ Serve

  • Cut in half diagonally and serve immediately.

🍽️ Optional Variations

  • Add avocado slices for a creamy twist.
  • Use flavored mayo (garlic, chipotle) for extra zing.
  • Swap lettuce for arugula or spinach for a peppery flavor.
  • Add a fried egg for a “breakfast BLT.”
