Crispy edges, tender centers, zero bitterness when done right.


🥬 Perfect Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts
  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & black pepper

Optional upgrades (pick your vibe)

  • Garlic powder or fresh garlic
  • Balsamic vinegar or glaze
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Bacon bits
  • Honey or maple syrup
  • Red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 425°F (220°C) — hot is key.
  2. Trim ends, remove loose leaves, and halve sprouts (quarter if large).
  3. Toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread cut-side down on a baking sheet (don’t crowd).
  5. Roast 20–25 minutes, flipping once, until deeply golden and crispy.
  6. Finish with any extras (balsamic, cheese, etc.).

🔥 Pro tips

  • Crowding = steaming (sad). Give them space.
  • Cut-side down = max caramelization
  • Those loose leaves? Let them roast—they turn into chips.

  • Garlic Parmesan: toss with garlic, finish with parm
  • Balsamic honey: drizzle after roasting
  • Buffalo-style: toss with buffalo sauce + blue cheese
  • Lemon + zest: bright and fresh
