  • Salt and pepper to taste

Sauce

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1½ cups milk
  • ½ cup cream cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Topping

  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs (optional)
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan
  • 1 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

1. Prepare Chicken

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut a pocket into each chicken breast (horizontally).
  3. In a small bowl, mix chopped bacon and all four cheeses.
  4. Stuff each chicken breast with the cheese-bacon mixture.
  5. Season outside with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

2. Make the Sauce

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant (30 sec).
  2. Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute.
  3. Slowly whisk in milk and cook until slightly thickened.
  4. Stir in cream cheese, mozzarella, cheddar, paprika, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat once smooth.

3. Assemble Casserole

  1. Place stuffed chicken breasts in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Pour cheese sauce evenly over the chicken.
  3. Optional: Mix breadcrumbs with Parmesan and melted butter and sprinkle on top for a golden crust.

4. Bake

  1. Bake 25–30 minutes, until chicken is cooked through (internal temp 165°F / 74°C) and sauce is bubbly.
  2. Optional: Broil 2–3 minutes for extra golden topping.

5. Serve

  • Spoon sauce over chicken and serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed veggies.
