Posted on January 27, 2026 by Admin

Classic, hearty, and endlessly customizable—smoked sausage and potatoes is comfort food that never misses 😌🔥
Here are two great ways to make it, depending on your mood.

🥔🌭 Smoked Sausage & Potatoes (One-Pan Skillet)

Ingredients

  • 14–16 oz smoked sausage (kielbasa or andouille), sliced
  • 1½–2 lb potatoes (Yukon gold or red), diced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 tsp paprika (smoked if you have it)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt & black pepper
  • Optional: red pepper flakes, bell peppers, or herbs

Instructions

  1. Parboil potatoes in salted water 8–10 minutes until just tender. Drain.
  2. Heat oil/butter in a large skillet over medium-high.
  3. Brown sausage until nicely caramelized. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, sauté potatoes until golden and crisp.
  5. Add onion & garlic; cook until soft.
  6. Return sausage to pan, season well, and toss everything together.
  7. Finish with herbs or a pat of butter.

🔥 Oven-Roasted Version (Easy Mode)

Ingredients

Same as above + optional bell pepper.

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Toss sausage, potatoes, onion, garlic, oil, and seasonings.
  3. Spread on a sheet pan.
  4. Roast 30–40 minutes, flipping once, until crispy and browned.

⭐ Flavor Boost Ideas

  • Add Dijon or whole-grain mustard at the end
  • Toss with sauerkraut or caramelized cabbage
  • Sprinkle with parmesan or fresh parsley
  • Cajun-style: use andouille + Cajun seasoning + bell peppers

Want this creamy, cheesy, slow-cooker, or cajun-spicy? I’ve got you 😏🍽️
