Here’s a simple, classic no-bake Chocolate & Peanut Butter Crispy Bars recipe—quick, crowd-pleasing, and hard to mess up 😄


Chocolate & Peanut Butter Crispy Bars

Ingredients

Base

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup honey or light corn syrup
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups crispy rice cereal

Chocolate Topping

  • 1½ cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter (optional, for softer topping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pan
    Line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) pan with parchment paper.
  2. Make the peanut butter base
    In a saucepan over low heat, melt the peanut butter, honey (or syrup), and butter, stirring until smooth.
    Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  3. Add cereal
    Gently fold in the crispy rice cereal until evenly coated.
  4. Press into pan
    Transfer mixture to the pan and press firmly into an even layer.
  5. Melt chocolate
    Melt chocolate chips (and optional peanut butter) in the microwave in 20–30 second bursts, stirring until smooth.
  6. Top & chill
    Spread chocolate evenly over the base.
    Refrigerate for 1–2 hours until set.
  7. Slice & serve
    Lift out, cut into bars, and enjoy!

Tips & Variations

  • Extra crunch: Add ½ cup chopped peanuts.
  • Less sweet: Use dark chocolate and unsweetened peanut butter.
  • No honey: Maple syrup works, but bars will be softer.
  • Thicker bars: Use a smaller pan (7×7).
