Pizzagna is a fun mash-up of pizza + lasagna — layered like lasagna, flavored like pizza 🍕✨
It’s hearty, cheesy, and great for feeding a crowd.
Ingredients
- 9 lasagna noodles, cooked (or oven-ready)
- 2–3 cups pizza sauce or marinara
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella
- 1½ cups ricotta or cottage cheese
- 1 egg (optional, for firmer layers)
- 1 cup pepperoni slices (or cooked sausage, veggies, etc.)
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- Optional toppings: olives, mushrooms, bell peppers
- Parmesan for topping
Instructions
- Prep
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix ricotta (or cottage cheese) with egg and Italian seasoning.
- Layer
- Spread a thin layer of sauce in a greased 9×13 pan.
- Add noodles.
- Spread ricotta mixture.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and add pepperoni/toppings.
- Repeat layers (usually 3 layers).
- Finish with sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
- Bake
- Cover with foil and bake 25 minutes.
- Uncover and bake 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Rest
- Let sit 10 minutes before slicing.
Variations
- Meat-lover’s: pepperoni, sausage, bacon bits
- Veggie: spinach, mushrooms, onions, olives
- White pizzagna: Alfredo sauce instead of red
- Extra cheesy: add provolone or cheddar
