Yogurt and egg dessert

Here’s a simple and delicious yogurt and egg dessert that’s creamy, lightly sweet, and easy to make — sometimes called a baked yogurt pudding or custard yogurt dessert.


🍮 Baked Yogurt & Egg Dessert (Yogurt Custard)

Serves: 4
Prep time: 10 minutes
Bake time: 25–30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 g) plain yogurt (Greek or regular)

  • 2 large eggs

  • 4 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste; honey can work too)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

  • A pinch of salt

  • (Optional) zest of ½ lemon or orange for extra flavor


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
    Grease 4 small ramekins or one small baking dish.

  2. Whisk the eggs in a bowl until smooth.

  3. Add yogurt, sugar, vanilla, and salt.
    Mix until everything is well combined and creamy.

  4. Pour the mixture into the ramekins.
    Place them in a baking dish and pour hot water into the dish to reach halfway up the sides (water bath).

  5. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the tops are set and slightly golden, but still a little jiggly in the center.

  6. Cool slightly, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.


To Serve

  • Top with fresh berries, honey drizzle, toasted nuts, or a spoonful of jam.

  • Can be served chilled or slightly warm.
