For the Shrimp

  • ½ lb medium shrimp, peeled & deveined

For the Cheese

  • 4–6 slices of your favorite cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or provolone)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Garlic Bread

  1. Mix softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt.
  2. Spread evenly on one side of each bread slice.
  3. Set aside.

2. Cook the Shrimp

  1. Heat butter or olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds.
  3. Add shrimp, paprika, salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  4. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  5. Remove from heat and roughly chop if large.

3. Assemble the Sandwich

  1. Place one slice of garlic-buttered bread in a skillet, butter side down.
  2. Layer cheese on the bread, then shrimp, then additional cheese if desired.
  3. Top with second slice of bread, butter side up.

4. Cook the Grilled Cheese

  1. Heat skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook 3–4 minutes per side, pressing lightly with a spatula, until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
  3. Reduce heat if bread browns too quickly.

5. Serve

  • Slice diagonally and serve immediately.
