Ingredients (Serves 4–6)
-
2–3 lb boneless turkey breast
-
2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp onion powder
-
1 tsp paprika
-
1/2 tsp dried thyme or rosemary
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
-
Optional: 1/2 cup chicken broth (for basting or keeping moist)
Instructions
-
Preheat oven:
-
375°F (190°C).
-
-
Prepare the turkey:
-
Pat turkey breast dry with paper towels.
-
Rub olive oil or melted butter over the entire surface.
-
Mix garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme/rosemary, salt, and pepper.
-
Rub the seasoning evenly over the turkey.
-
-
Roast:
-
Place turkey breast on a roasting pan or baking dish.
-
Optional: pour chicken broth into the pan to keep it moist.
-
Roast 1–1.5 hours, depending on size, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
-
-
Rest:
-
Remove turkey from oven and cover loosely with foil.
-
Let rest 10–15 minutes before slicing to allow juices to redistribute.
-
-
Serve:
-
Slice and serve with your favorite sides—mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or cranberry sauce.
-
💡 Tips:
-
Brining the turkey breast for 2–4 hours before cooking can make it extra juicy.
-
For extra flavor, add garlic cloves and fresh herbs under the skin before roasting.
-
Leftovers are perfect for sandwiches, salads, or soups.
I can also give a slow cooker or instant pot version for a hands-off, super tender turkey breast. Do you want that version?
