  • 14 oz (400 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: 2 oz dark chocolate, melted (for deeper flavor)

Ganache Topping

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 7 oz (200 g) semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped

  1. Make chocolate cream
    • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine condensed milk, cocoa powder, and butter.
    • Stir constantly until thick and glossy (about 8–10 minutes).
    • Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and melted chocolate (if using). Let cool slightly.
  2. Assemble layers
    • Quickly dip cookies in milk (do not soak).
    • Line the bottom of a springform pan or dish with cookies.
    • Spread a layer of chocolate cream over cookies.
    • Repeat layers until ingredients are used, finishing with chocolate cream.
  3. Make ganache
    • Heat cream until just simmering.
    • Pour over chopped chocolate. Let sit 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
    • Pour ganache over cake and spread evenly.
  4. Chill
    • Refrigerate at least 4 hours (overnight is best).
  5. Serve
    • Slice and serve cold or slightly chilled.
