Here’s a simple, hearty, and flavorful recipe for Steak Bites with Potatoes — perfect for a weeknight dinner or a casual weekend meal. 🥩🥔✨

🥩 Steak Bites and Potatoes

Serves: 2–4
Prep Time: 10–15 min
Cook Time: 15–20 min

Ingredients

For the Steak Bites

  • 1 lb (450 g) steak (sirloin, ribeye, or flank), cut into 1–2 inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika or your favorite steak seasoning
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

For the Potatoes

  • 1 lb (450 g) small potatoes (Yukon gold or red), diced into ½-inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried rosemary or thyme (optional)

Instructions

1. Cook the Potatoes

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add potatoes, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and rosemary.
  3. Cook, stirring occasionally, 10–12 minutes, until golden and tender.
  4. Remove from skillet and set aside, keeping warm.

2. Cook the Steak Bites

  1. In the same skillet, add olive oil or butter over medium-high heat.
  2. Pat steak cubes dry, season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Add steak bites to hot skillet in a single layer.
  4. Cook 2–3 minutes per side, until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness.
  5. Add garlic in the last minute and sauté briefly.

3. Combine and Serve

  • Toss the cooked potatoes back into the skillet with steak bites for 1–2 minutes to combine flavors.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley.
  • Serve immediately.

Optional Variations

  • Cheesy Potatoes: Sprinkle shredded cheddar over potatoes at the end and let melt.
  • Creamy Garlic Butter: Toss steak bites in 2 tbsp butter + minced garlic after cooking.
  • Spicy Kick: Add a pinch of cayenne or red pepper flakes when cooking steak.
  • Veggie Boost: Add bell peppers or mushrooms to the skillet with potatoes.

This dish is crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor — essentially a steakhouse meal at home.

I can also give you a one-pan sheet pan version for easier cleanup and more roasted flavor. Do you want that version?
