Here’s a simple, juicy, Slow Cooker Turkey Breast recipe—perfect for a small holiday meal or easy weeknight dinner.


🦃 Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Ingredients

  • 1 bone-in or boneless turkey breast (4–6 lbs)
  • 1 ½ tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme (or rosemary)
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 4 tbsp butter, softened
  • Optional: 1 onion (quartered), 3–4 garlic cloves, fresh herbs

Instructions

  1. Prep the turkey:
    Pat the turkey breast dry. Mix salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme. Rub the turkey with softened butter, then coat evenly with the seasoning blend.
  2. Add aromatics (optional):
    Place onion, garlic, or herbs in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Slow cook:
    Set turkey breast in the slow cooker skin-side up. Pour chicken broth around (not on top).

    • Low: 5–7 hours
    • High: 3–4 hours
      Cook until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  4. Optional crispy skin:
    Remove turkey and place on a baking sheet. Broil 3–6 minutes until the skin is golden and crisp.
  5. Rest & slice:
    Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Make a Simple Gravy

Strain the cooking juices into a saucepan.
Whisk 2 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp cold water, stir into juices.
Simmer until thickened. Add salt/pepper to taste.

  • Don’t overcook—use a thermometer for best results.
  • Butter under the skin makes it extra juicy.
