Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 1 package (12–16 oz) frozen pierogies (potato & cheese or your favorite filling)
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3–4 slices vegan or regular bacon, chopped (optional for extra flavor)
  • 2 tbsp butter or olive oil
  • 1 cup sour cream or dairy-free alternative
  • 1/2 cup vegetable or chicken broth
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh chives or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep the Slow Cooker
    • Lightly grease the slow cooker with butter or oil.
  2. Layer Ingredients
    • Place frozen pierogies at the bottom.
    • Add onions, garlic, and optional bacon on top.
    • Pour the broth evenly over everything and dot with butter.
  3. Cook
    • Cover and cook on low for 3–4 hours or high for 1.5–2 hours.
    • Pierogies should be tender but not falling apart.
