Chicken casserole made in a Slow cooker is a comforting, hands-off dish where chicken, vegetables, and a creamy sauce cook slowly until tender and flavorful.


Ingredients

  • 2–3 cups Cooked chicken (or raw chicken breasts, cooked in the slow cooker)
  • 1 cup frozen or fresh vegetables (carrots, peas, broccoli, green beans)
  • 1 can (10–11 oz) Cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup milk or chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder or onion powder
  • Salt and Black pepper to taste
  • Optional: shredded cheese, breadcrumbs, or cooked rice/pasta

How to Make Slow Cooker Chicken Casserole

1. Prep the ingredients

  • Chop vegetables and shred or dice chicken if not already cooked.

2. Mix sauce

  • In a bowl, combine cream soup, milk or broth, and seasonings.

3. Layer in slow cooker

  • Place chicken at the bottom, then vegetables, then pour the sauce over the top.

4. Cook

  • Cover and cook on low for 4–6 hours or high for 2–3 hours until chicken is tender and vegetables are cooked.

5. Optional topping

  • Add shredded cheese 15–20 minutes before serving.
  • For a crunchy top, sprinkle breadcrumbs and broil for a few minutes after cooking.

Serving Ideas

  • Serve over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes
  • Pair with green salad or bread rolls
  • Great for meal prep—keeps well in the fridge for 3–4 days
