½ tsp dried thyme (optional)

1 tbsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (for thickening, optional)

Slow Cooker Method

Brown the beef (optional but adds flavor):
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the beef tips in batches (about 2–3 minutes per side). Transfer to the slow cooker. -
Add aromatics:
In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic until softened, about 2 minutes. Add to the slow cooker. -
Mix the sauce:
In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, gravy mix, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings. Pour over the beef. -
Cook:

Low: 7–8 hours

High: 4–5 hours
Until beef is fork-tender.

Thicken (optional):
Mix cornstarch and water, stir into the slow cooker, and cook an additional 20–30 minutes until thickened.
