Ritz Cracker Party Sandwiches

Posted on December 7, 2025 by Admin

Here’s a classic and super-easy recipe for Ritz Cracker Party Sandwiches—perfect for parties, potlucks, or simple snacks!

Ingredients (Makes about 24–30 sandwiches)

  • 2 sleeves Ritz crackers (or similar buttery crackers)
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp onion powder (optional)
  • 1–2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or chives (optional, for color)
  • 1 tsp paprika or Old Bay seasoning (optional, for topping)

Optional fillings/toppings:

  • Finely chopped olives, pickles, or green onions
  • Cooked bacon bits
  • Cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Make the Spread
    • In a medium bowl, mix softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.
    • Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, and parsley/chives if using.
    • Add any optional mix-ins (olives, bacon, cheese) for extra flavor.
  2. Assemble the Sandwiches
    • Take one Ritz cracker as the base.
    • Spread about ½ tsp of the cream cheese mixture on the cracker.
    • Top with another Ritz cracker to make a small sandwich.
  3. Garnish (Optional)
    • Lightly sprinkle paprika or Old Bay seasoning on top for color and flavor.
  4. Chill and Serve
    • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld and the spread firm up.
    • Serve cold as bite-sized party snacks.

Tips:

  • Make them ahead of time—they taste even better after sitting in the fridge for a few hours.
  • Mix in finely chopped smoked salmon or ham for a fancy twist.
  • For a fun colorful version, divide the spread and mix in different herbs or spices, creating multiple flavors on the same platter.

If you want, I can also give a warm, baked version where the crackers and cheese melt slightly for an even more indulgent party treat.

Do you want me to do that?
