Pineapple jam

Here’s a simple homemade Pineapple Jam recipe—sweet, bright, and great on toast, biscuits, or desserts 🍍


Pineapple Jam

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh pineapple, finely crushed (or canned, drained)
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Optional: pinch of salt or ¼ tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cook
    • Add pineapple, sugar, and lemon juice to a saucepan.
    • Cook over medium heat, stirring often.
  2. Thicken
    • Bring to a gentle boil.
    • Reduce heat and simmer 25–35 minutes, stirring frequently, until thick and glossy.
    • Mash or blend slightly if you want smoother jam.
  3. Test
    • Spoon a little onto a cold plate—if it wrinkles when pushed, it’s ready.
  4. Store
    • Cool completely.
    • Store in airtight jars in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.

Quick Tips

  • For spiced pineapple jam, add a pinch of cinnamon or ginger.
  • For chunky jam, don’t crush the pineapple too much.
  • Want it thicker faster? Stir in 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water near the end.
