Pineapple cheese ball

Here’s a classic Pineapple Cheese Ball recipe — creamy, tangy, and sweet, perfect for parties or as a snack! 🍍🧀


Pineapple Cheese Ball

Servings: 12–16

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Chill Time: 1–2 hours


Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened

  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained

  • 2–3 green onions, finely chopped

  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)

  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)

  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (for rolling)


Instructions:

  1. Mix the cheese ball:

    • In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, drained pineapple, and green onions.

    • Add garlic powder and paprika if using. Mix well until fully combined.

  2. Shape the ball:

    • Scoop the mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap.

    • Use the wrap to shape it into a smooth ball.

  3. Coat with nuts:

    • Spread chopped nuts on a plate.

    • Roll the cheese ball in the nuts until evenly coated.

  4. Chill:

    • Refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours to firm up before serving.

  5. Serve:

    • Serve with crackers, breadsticks, or fresh vegetable slices.


Tips & Variations:

  • 🥓 Bacon twist: Mix in crispy crumbled bacon for a smoky flavor.

  • 🌶️ Spicy version: Add ¼ tsp cayenne pepper or chopped jalapeños.

  • 🥥 Tropical flair: Mix in shredded coconut along with pineapple.

  • 🕒 Make-ahead: Can be prepared a day in advance and kept chilled.
