Yesss 😍 Peanut Butter Cake is rich, soft, and dangerously good. Here’s a simple, super-moist peanut butter cake that works as a sheet cake or layer cake.


Peanut Butter Cake

Ingredients

Cake

  • 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Peanut Butter Frosting

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3–4 cups powdered sugar
  • 3–4 tbsp milk or cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Make the Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch pan or two 8-inch round pans.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter and peanut butter together with milk. Heat until smooth (don’t boil).
  4. Pour hot mixture over dry ingredients and mix well.
  5. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until smooth.
  6. Pour batter into pan and bake 30–35 minutes (25–30 for round pans).

Make the Frosting

  1. Beat butter and peanut butter until fluffy.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar.
  3. Mix in milk and vanilla until smooth and spreadable.

Finish

  • Frost once cake is completely cooled.
  • Optional: sprinkle chopped peanuts or drizzle melted chocolate on top.

Tips & Variations

  • Extra rich: Swirl chocolate chips into the batter.
  • Southern-style: Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
  • Cupcakes: Bake 18–22 minutes.
