Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Peanut Butter and Chocolate Bars — rich, gooey, and perfect for dessert or snacks. 🍫🥜

🍫🥜 Peanut Butter and Chocolate Bars

Makes: 12–16 bars
Prep Time: 15 min
Cook Time: 20–25 min
Chill Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

For the Base

  • 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup (50 g) powdered sugar
  • ½ cup (125 g) peanut butter (creamy or chunky)

For the Chocolate Topping

  • 1 cup (175 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter

Instructions

1. Make the Base

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter, peanut butter, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  3. Mix in flour until a soft dough forms.
  4. Press dough evenly into a greased 8×8-inch baking pan.

2. Bake the Base

  • Bake 15–20 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  • Remove from oven and let cool slightly.

3. Add Chocolate Layer

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and 2 tbsp peanut butter together in 20–30 second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  2. Pour chocolate mixture over the baked peanut butter base and spread evenly.

4. Chill and Set

  • Refrigerate at least 1 hour until chocolate is firm.
  • Slice into bars and serve.

Optional Variations

  • Crunchy Twist: Add ½ cup chopped peanuts to the base or sprinkle on top.
  • Salted Caramel: Drizzle caramel over chocolate before chilling.
  • Nutella Swap: Replace peanut butter with Nutella for a chocolate-hazelnut version.
  • Mini Bars: Use a mini muffin pan for bite-sized bars.

These bars are rich, chewy, and perfectly balanced between peanut butter and chocolate — a classic favorite!

I can also give you a no-bake peanut butter chocolate bar version if you want something faster.

Do you want me to do that?
