Here’s Paula Deen’s classic 5-Minute Fudge recipe — it’s super quick, rich, and perfect for the holidays (or anytime you need an easy sweet treat!).


🍫 Paula Deen’s 5-Minute Fudge

Ingredients

  • 1 ⅔ cups sugar
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 16 large marshmallows (or about 1 ½ cups mini marshmallows)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional – pecans or walnuts work great)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pan:
    Line an 8-inch square pan with foil or parchment paper. Butter lightly or spray with nonstick spray.
  2. Cook the base:
    In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter, and salt. Bring to a full rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  3. Boil for 5 minutes:
    Continue stirring and boiling for exactly 5 minutes. (Set a timer—this step gives the fudge its perfect texture.)
  4. Add the chocolate and marshmallows:
    Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate chips and marshmallows until melted and smooth.
  5. Flavor and finish:
    Stir in vanilla extract and nuts if using.
  6. Pour and cool:
    Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Let cool at room temperature until firm (or chill to speed it up).
  7. Cut and serve:
    Lift out of the pan, cut into squares, and enjoy!
