  • 4 slices ham
  • 4 slices turkey

  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Butter or oil, for frying

Instructions

1. Assemble the sandwiches

  • Layer ham, turkey, and cheese between two slices of bread.
  • Optional: spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard inside for extra flavor.
  • Press sandwiches gently to compact.

2. Prepare egg wash

  • In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth.

3. Dip sandwiches

  • Dip each sandwich in egg mixture, coating both sides evenly.

4. Cook

  • Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Fry sandwiches 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels.

5. Serve

  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with jam on the side for dipping.

  • Crispier crust: Use brioche or slightly stale bread.
