Here’s a smooth, creamy mashed potato recipe—simple, classic, and super comforting:


🥔 Creamy Mashed Potatoes

📝 Ingredients:

  • 4–5 medium potatoes (peeled & chopped)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup milk (warm)
  • 2–3 tbsp cream (optional, for extra richness)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)

🍳 Instructions:

  1. Boil the potatoes
    Put potatoes in salted water and boil for 12–15 minutes until very soft (fork should go through easily).
  2. Drain well
    Remove all water completely to avoid watery mash.
  3. Mash
    Mash the potatoes while still hot using a masher or fork until smooth.
  4. Add butter & milk
    Mix in butter first, then gradually add warm milk (and cream if using).
  5. Season
    Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix until fluffy and creamy.

🍽️ Tips:

  • Warm milk = smoother texture (cold milk can make it gluey)
  • Don’t overmix, or potatoes can become sticky
  • Add garlic, cheese, or herbs for extra flavor
