Juicy steak with creamy garlic sauce

Posted on December 6, 2025 by Admin

Here’s a recipe for a Juicy Steak with Creamy Garlic Sauce—rich, indulgent, and perfect for a restaurant-style dinner at home.

Ingredients (serves 2–3)

For the Steak:

  • 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (8–10 oz each)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup beef or chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: 1 tsp fresh thyme or parsley, chopped

Instructions

1. Prepare the Steak:

  1. Bring steaks to room temperature (about 20–30 minutes).
  2. Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.

2. Cook the Steak:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add steaks and sear 3–5 minutes per side (depending on thickness and desired doneness).
  3. Add butter during the last minute of cooking and spoon it over the steaks.
  4. Remove steaks from skillet and let rest for 5–10 minutes.

3. Make the Garlic Sauce:

  1. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add 2 tbsp butter.
  2. Sauté minced garlic 30–60 seconds until fragrant (don’t burn).
  3. Add broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and optional herbs.

4. Serve:

  • Pour creamy garlic sauce over the steaks.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a side salad.

💡 Tips:

  • Letting the steak rest after cooking ensures it stays juicy.
  • For a thicker sauce, simmer a bit longer until it reaches desired consistency.
  • You can add a splash of white wine to the sauce for extra depth of flavor.

If you want, I can also give a one-pan garlic butter steak version where the sauce and steak cook together for maximum flavor and minimal cleanup. Do you want that?
