Cream & Berry-Filled Pastry Balls

Ingredients

Pastry

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Filling

  • ½ cup cream cheese or mascarpone
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or mix)

Optional Topping

  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Melted chocolate drizzle

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare filling
    • Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
    • Gently fold in berries or leave whole to add later.
  3. Prepare pastry
    • Cut puff pastry into squares (3×3 inches works well).
    • Place a spoonful of cream mixture in the center.
    • Fold edges over or pinch to form a ball/pouch.
  4. Egg wash
    • Beat the egg and brush lightly over pastry balls.
  5. Bake
    • Bake 15–18 minutes, until golden and puffed.
    • Cool slightly before serving.
