🥘 Ingredients (serves 4)
-
1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
-
8 oz (225g) sausage (Andouille, smoked, or your choice), sliced
-
2 cups broccoli florets
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
3 tablespoons honey
-
2 tablespoons soy sauce
-
1 tablespoon olive oil (or butter)
-
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
Sesame seeds or chopped green onions for garnish
🍳 Instructions
-
Cook sausage:
-
In a large skillet over medium heat, add sausage slices and cook until browned (about 4–5 minutes). Remove and set aside.
-
-
Cook broccoli:
-
In the same skillet, add a splash of water (2–3 tablespoons) and broccoli. Cover and steam for 2–3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Remove and set aside.
-
-
Cook shrimp:
-
Add olive oil to the skillet. Season shrimp with salt and pepper. Cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
-
-
Make honey garlic sauce:
-
In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
-
Stir in honey, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook 1–2 minutes until sauce slightly thickens.
-
-
Combine everything:
-
Return shrimp, sausage, and broccoli to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly in the honey garlic sauce.
-
-
Serve:
-
Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions. Serve over rice, quinoa, or noodles.
-
✅ Tips:
-
You can substitute chicken or pork for sausage if desired.
-
For extra flavor, add a splash of lime juice before serving.
-
Cooking shrimp last prevents overcooking and keeps them tender.
