Honey garlic shrimp

Oooh, classic and dangerously good 😌🍤
Here’s a quick, foolproof Honey Garlic Shrimp you can make in ~15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (low-sodium if you can)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice or rice vinegar
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional but recommended 👀)
  • Salt & black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • Optional garnish: green onions, sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Mix the sauce
    In a small bowl: honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and chili flakes. Set aside.
  2. Cook the shrimp
    Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
    Season shrimp lightly with salt & pepper, then cook 1–2 minutes per side until just pink.
    Remove shrimp from the pan (important—don’t overcook).
  3. Garlic moment
    Lower heat to medium. Add garlic to the same pan and sauté ~30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Sauce it up
    Pour in the honey sauce. Let it simmer 1–2 minutes until slightly thick.
  5. Bring shrimp back
    Add shrimp back in, toss to coat, cook another 30–60 seconds.
  6. Finish & serve
    Garnish if you’re feeling fancy. Serve immediately.

Serve it with

  • Steamed rice or fried rice
  • Noodles
  • Over a crunchy salad
  • Or straight from the pan (no judgment)
