Oh yes! 🍕🥦 Homemade vegetable pizza is colorful, fresh, and way better than delivery when you make it yourself. Here’s a simple, foolproof version.

Homemade Vegetable Pizza

Ingredients

Pizza Dough

  • 1 lb (450 g) pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil

Sauce

  • ½ cup tomato sauce or pizza sauce
  • 1–2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Cheese

  • 1–1½ cups shredded mozzarella (or blend with provolone/cheddar)
  • Optional: 2 tbsp grated Parmesan

Vegetables (use any combination)

  • ½ bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • ½ red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 small zucchini, sliced thin
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ½ cup black olives, sliced
  • Optional: spinach, broccoli florets, artichoke hearts

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven
    • 450°F (230°C). If using a pizza stone, preheat it in the oven.
  2. Prepare Sauce
    • Mix tomato sauce, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  3. Prepare Dough
    • Roll out dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
    • Transfer to a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza stone.
    • Brush lightly with olive oil.
  4. Assemble Pizza
    • Spread sauce evenly over dough.
    • Sprinkle cheese first, then arrange vegetables on top.
    • Optional: drizzle a little olive oil over the veggies for extra flavor.
  5. Bake
    • Bake 12–15 minutes, until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  6. Finish & Serve
    • Remove from oven and let cool 2–3 minutes.
    • Optional: sprinkle fresh basil or a drizzle of balsamic glaze before serving.

Tips & Variations

  • Crispier crust: Pre-bake dough 5 minutes before adding toppings.
  • Cheesy veggie: Layer veggies under and over cheese for gooey goodness.
  • Extra flavor: Toss mushrooms and zucchini in a little olive oil and garlic before adding.
  • Spicy kick: Sprinkle crushed red pepper or drizzle hot honey after baking.

If you want, I can also give a deep-dish or cauliflower crust veggie pizza version that’s extra indulgent or low-carb 😏

Do you want me to do that?
