Here’s a simple, classic recipe for Hawaiian Baked Ham & Swiss Sliders—sweet, melty, buttery, and perfect for parties, game days, or quick dinners.
🍍 Hawaiian Baked Ham & Swiss Sandwiches
Ingredients
- 1 package (12-count) Hawaiian sweet rolls (King’s Hawaiian preferred)
- 12–16 slices deli ham (thin-sliced)
- 8–12 slices Swiss cheese
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 ½ tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
- ½ teaspoon onion powder or 1 tablespoon finely minced onion
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Prepare the Rolls
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Without separating the rolls, slice the entire pack horizontally to create a top and bottom “slab.”
- Place the bottom half into a greased baking dish.
2. Layer the Fillings
- Add an even layer of ham.
- Add a layer of Swiss cheese.
- Place the top slab of rolls on.
3. Make the Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together:
- melted butter
- Dijon mustard
- Worcestershire sauce
- poppy seeds
- onion powder
- brown sugar
- pinch of salt
4. Brush & Bake
- Pour or brush the butter mixture evenly over the top of the rolls.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 5–10 minutes until tops are golden and cheese is melted.
Serve
- Let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
The rolls stay soft on the bottom and slightly crisp on top—perfect sweet–savory balance.
