Hawaiian baked ham and swiss sandwiches

Here’s a simple, classic recipe for Hawaiian Baked Ham & Swiss Sliders—sweet, melty, buttery, and perfect for parties, game days, or quick dinners.


🍍 Hawaiian Baked Ham & Swiss Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 1 package (12-count) Hawaiian sweet rolls (King’s Hawaiian preferred)
  • 12–16 slices deli ham (thin-sliced)
  • 8–12 slices Swiss cheese
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder or 1 tablespoon finely minced onion
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

1. Prepare the Rolls

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Without separating the rolls, slice the entire pack horizontally to create a top and bottom “slab.”
  • Place the bottom half into a greased baking dish.

2. Layer the Fillings

  • Add an even layer of ham.
  • Add a layer of Swiss cheese.
  • Place the top slab of rolls on.

3. Make the Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together:

  • melted butter
  • Dijon mustard
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • poppy seeds
  • onion powder
  • brown sugar
  • pinch of salt

4. Brush & Bake

  • Pour or brush the butter mixture evenly over the top of the rolls.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake an additional 5–10 minutes until tops are golden and cheese is melted.

Serve

  • Let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
    The rolls stay soft on the bottom and slightly crisp on top—perfect sweet–savory balance.
