Here’s a quick, buttery, restaurant-style Garlic Butter Shrimp recipe — ready in under 15 minutes! Perfect over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread. 🍤🧄✨


🍤 Garlic Butter Shrimp

Ingredients (serves 3–4)

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (fresh)
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1. Season the shrimp

  • Pat shrimp dry.
  • Season lightly with salt, pepper, and paprika.

2. Sear the shrimp

  1. Heat olive oil + 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high.
  2. Add shrimp in a single layer.
  3. Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  4. Remove shrimp and set aside.

3. Make the garlic butter sauce

  1. Lower heat to medium.
  2. Add remaining 2 tbsp butter to the skillet.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant (don’t brown it).
  4. Add lemon juice + red pepper flakes.
  5. Stir and simmer 20–30 seconds.

4. Combine

  • Return shrimp to the pan, toss to coat in sauce, and cook 1 more minute.

5. Serve

  • Garnish with parsley.
  • Serve over rice, pasta, mashed potatoes, or with toasted bread.

⭐ Tips

  • Extra buttery: Add 1–2 more tbsp butter at the end.
  • Creamy version: Stir in 1/4 cup heavy cream and simmer 2 minutes.
  • Cajun kick: Add 1 tsp Cajun seasoning to the shrimp before cooking.
  • Don’t overcook shrimp: They finish FAST — as soon as they curl and turn pink, they’re done.
