Fresh fruit salad

Posted on October 31, 2025 by Admin
Here’s a fresh fruit salad recipe that’s vibrant, refreshing, and perfect for any season — breakfast, brunch, or dessert. 🍓🍍🍊

You can make it with whatever fruit is in season, and a light honey-lime dressing ties all the flavors together beautifully.

🍉 Fresh Fruit Salad with Honey-Lime Dressing

Ingredients

For the salad:

  • 2 cups strawberries, hulled and sliced

  • 2 cups pineapple chunks

  • 2 cups seedless grapes (red or green)

  • 2 cups melon (cantaloupe or watermelon), cubed

  • 2 kiwis, peeled and sliced

  • 2 oranges or mandarins, peeled and sectioned

  • 1 banana, sliced (optional — best added right before serving)

  • 1 cup blueberries or blackberries

(You can swap or add mango, peaches, apples, or whatever’s fresh and ripe.)

For the honey-lime dressing:

  • 2 tbsp honey (or maple syrup for vegan)

  • 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice

  • 1 tsp finely grated lime zest (optional but brightens the flavor)

  • Fresh mint leaves, finely chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Prepare the fruit

  • Wash, peel, and cut all fruit into bite-sized pieces.

  • Place in a large mixing bowl.

2. Make the dressing

  • In a small bowl or jar, whisk together honey, lime juice, and lime zest until smooth.

3. Combine

  • Pour the dressing over the fruit.

  • Gently toss until all fruit is lightly coated.

4. Chill and serve

  • Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.

  • Garnish with fresh mint if desired.

🌿 Tips

  • Add bananas or apples right before serving to prevent browning.

  • For a tangy twist, replace lime with lemon or orange juice.

  • You can also add a sprinkle of shredded coconut or chopped nuts for texture.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Would you like a version with a creamy dressing (like yogurt, cream cheese, or coconut cream)? It’s perfect for parties and potlucks!
