Elegant Crab Salad Cups

Ingredients

  • 8 oz crab meat (lump or claw; imitation works too)
  • ÂĽ cup mayonnaise
  • 1–2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped celery
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped red onion or shallot
  • Salt & white pepper (or black)
  • Optional: chopped fresh dill, parsley, or chives

For the cups (choose one)

  • Butter lettuce leaves (classic + light)
  • Endive leaves (extra elegant)
  • Mini phyllo shells (party-perfect crunch)
  • Cucumber cups (fresh & modern)

Instructions

  1. Mix gently
    In a bowl, whisk mayo, lemon juice, and Dijon. Fold in celery, onion, herbs, and crab. Season lightly—don’t overpower the crab.
  2. Chill
    Refrigerate 15–30 minutes for best flavor.
  3. Assemble
    Spoon crab salad into your cups just before serving.

Elegant finishing touches

  • Tiny lemon zest on top
  • Microgreens or chives
  • A few capers or salmon roe if you’re feeling luxe

  • Keep it cold—crab salad shines when chilled
