Egg salad is a creamy dish made from chopped hard-boiled eggs mixed with mayonnaise and seasonings. It’s commonly used for sandwiches, wraps, or served on crackers.


Ingredients

  • 6 Egg, hard-boiled and chopped
  • 3–4 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion or green onion
  • Salt and Black pepper to taste

Optional add-ins:

  • Chopped celery
  • Pickles or relish
  • Paprika
  • Fresh herbs like dill or parsley

How to Make Egg Salad

  1. Boil the eggs
    Place eggs in boiling water and cook for 10–12 minutes.
  2. Cool and peel
    Put the eggs in cold water, then peel off the shells.
  3. Chop the eggs
    Cut into small pieces and place in a bowl.
  4. Mix ingredients
    Add mayonnaise, mustard, onion, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stir gently
    Mix until creamy but slightly chunky.
  6. Chill (optional)
    Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes for better flavor.

Ways to Serve

  • In a sandwich with lettuce
  • On toast or crackers
  • In a wrap or pita bread
  • On a bed of lettuce for a lighter meal

Tip

For extra creaminess, mash one of the egg yolks into the mayonnaise before mixing everything together.
