Croutons

Posted on March 25, 2026 by Admin

Here’s an easy way to make croutons at home—perfect for salads, soups, or snacking 🥖✨

🥖 Homemade Croutons

🧾 Ingredients

  • 4–5 slices of bread (any kind: white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: dried herbs (oregano, thyme, or parsley)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • Set to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray.
  2. Prepare bread
    • Cut bread into cubes (1–2 cm).
  3. Season
    • Toss bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and herbs.
  4. Bake
    • Spread cubes on the tray in a single layer.
    • Bake for 10–15 minutes, stirring halfway, until golden and crispy.
  5. Cool & store
    • Let croutons cool completely.
    • Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.

🌟 Tips

  • For extra flavor, sprinkle Parmesan cheese before baking.
  • Use stale bread—it crisps better and reduces waste.
  • For a quicker version, you can toast cubes in a skillet on medium heat for 5–7 minutes.

If you want, I can also give you a garlic butter croutons version or a spicy paprika croutons recipe that’s extra flavorful 😋

Do you want me to do that?
