Croissant sandwich with eggs and cheese

Posted on October 27, 2025 by Admin
Here’s a simple and delicious Croissant Sandwich with Eggs and Cheese — perfect for breakfast or brunch. 🥐🧀🥚

🥐 Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 2 large croissants

  • 4 large eggs

  • 2–4 slices of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or American)

  • 2 teaspoons butter or oil

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Optional fillings: cooked bacon, ham, spinach, or avocado

🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare croissants:

    • Slice each croissant in half horizontally.

    • Toast lightly if desired for extra crispiness.

  2. Cook eggs:

    • Heat butter or oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat.

    • Scramble the eggs, seasoning with salt and pepper, or cook them fried/over-easy depending on preference.

  3. Assemble sandwich:

    • Place cooked eggs on the bottom half of each croissant.

    • Top with slices of cheese (and optional fillings).

    • Cover with the top half of the croissant.

  4. Melt cheese (optional):

    • Place assembled sandwiches back in the skillet on low heat or in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 3–5 minutes to melt the cheese slightly.

  5. Serve:

    • Serve warm with a side of fruit, hash browns, or a small salad.

✅ Tips:

  • For extra flavor, spread a little mayonnaise, mustard, or pesto inside the croissant.

  • Add sautéed vegetables like mushrooms, onions, or peppers for a hearty breakfast sandwich.

  • Croissants can be pre-baked slightly if using cold eggs to prevent sogginess.

I can also give you a baked version where you make a mini egg-and-cheese casserole inside croissant halves for a quick batch breakfast. Do you want that version?
