Croissant sandwich

Posted on November 2, 2025 by Admin

Here’s a simple and delicious Croissant Sandwich recipe — buttery, flaky croissants filled with savory or sweet ingredients. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a quick lunch. 🥐

🥐 Croissant Sandwich

Serves: 2–4

Prep Time: 5–10 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes (optional, to warm/fill)

Ingredients

  • 2–4 fresh croissants (plain or buttered)

  • 4–6 slices deli meat (ham, turkey, or chicken)

  • 2–4 slices cheese (Swiss, cheddar, or your choice)

  • Lettuce, tomato slices, or spinach (optional)

  • Condiments: mustard, mayonnaise, or aioli

  • Optional: scrambled or fried egg for breakfast style

Instructions

1. Prepare the croissants

  • Slice croissants in half horizontally, without cutting all the way through if you like a hinge style.

  • Optional: warm in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 3–5 minutes for extra flakiness.

2. Assemble the sandwich

  1. Spread condiments (mustard, mayo, etc.) on the inside of each croissant half.

  2. Layer deli meat, cheese, and vegetables.

  3. Add egg if desired.

3. Optional melting

  • If you want a melted cheese version, place the assembled sandwiches on a baking sheet and broil or bake for 3–5 minutes until the cheese melts.

4. Serve

  • Serve warm or at room temperature.

  • Pair with a side salad, fruit, or chips for a complete meal.

💡 Tips & Variations

  • Breakfast style: Add scrambled eggs and crispy bacon or sausage.

  • Vegetarian: Use cheese, avocado, roasted veggies, and hummus.

  • Gourmet: Add brie, fig jam, and arugula for a French twist.

  • Sweet version: Fill with Nutella, strawberries, or almond cream.
