- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- Salt & black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 8 slices bacon, cooked crispy & chopped
- 1 small onion, finely diced (or caramelized if you’re extra)
- 6–8 slices American or cheddar cheese
Sandwich Build
- Thick-cut bread (Texas toast, sourdough, or brioche)
- Butter or mayo (for grilling)
- Pickles (optional but elite)
Instructions
- Cook the beef
Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium-high, breaking it up. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire.
Drain excess fat. Stir in bacon and onion. Remove from heat. - Assemble the melts
- Spread bang-bang sauce on the inside of each bread slice.
- Layer cheese → beef mixture → more cheese → pickles (if using).
- Top with second slice of bread.

Butter (or mayo) the outside of the bread.
Grill in a skillet over medium-low heat, pressing slightly, until deeply golden and crispy—about 3–4 minutes per side.
