Club sandwich

Here’s a classic club sandwich recipe—triple-layered, hearty, and perfect for lunch:


Ingredients (per sandwich)

  • 3 slices of toasted bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
  • 2–3 slices cooked turkey or chicken breast
  • 2–3 slices cooked bacon
  • 2 slices tomato
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: cheese (cheddar or Swiss)

Instructions

  1. Toast bread: Lightly toast all three slices. Spread mayonnaise on one or both sides.
  2. Layer first: On the first slice, place lettuce, turkey or chicken, and tomato. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Add middle slice: Place the second slice of bread on top. Spread a thin layer of mayo. Add bacon, more lettuce, and cheese if using.
  4. Top it off: Place the third slice of toasted bread on top.
  5. Secure & serve: Cut diagonally into quarters and secure each piece with toothpicks. Serve with chips, pickles, or a side salad.

Tips:

  • For extra flavor, use a mix of mayo and mustard or avocado spread.
  • Crisp bacon adds a nice crunch to the layers.
  • You can swap turkey or chicken for ham or roast beef if desired.
