Here’s a fresh, flavorful Citrus Salmon & Shrimp Delight—light, zesty, and restaurant-worthy 🍊🍋🍤🐟


Citrus Salmon & Shrimp Delight (serves 2)

Ingredients

Seafood

  • 2 salmon fillets (5–6 oz each)
  • ½ lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined

Citrus Sauce

  • Zest of 1 orange + 1 lemon
  • Juice of 1 orange
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & black pepper
  • Pinch chili flakes (optional)

Finish

  • 1 tbsp butter (optional, for gloss)
  • Fresh parsley or dill

Instructions

  1. Make the sauce
    Whisk zest, citrus juices, olive oil, honey, garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
  2. Season seafood
    Lightly season salmon and shrimp with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook salmon
    Heat a skillet over medium heat with a little oil.
    Sear salmon skin-side down 4–5 minutes, flip, cook 2–3 minutes more. Remove and keep warm.
  4. Cook shrimp
    In the same pan, cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove.
  5. Glaze
    Pour the citrus sauce into the pan; simmer 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
    Stir in butter if using.
  6. Serve
    Plate salmon and shrimp, spoon glaze over top, garnish with herbs and extra zest.

Great Pairings

  • Jasmine rice or quinoa
  • Roasted asparagus or green beans
  • Light citrus salad

Tips

  • Don’t marinate longer than 15–20 minutes—citrus can “cook” seafood.
  • For oven version: bake at 400°F (205°C), salmon 12–15 min; add shrimp halfway.
