Citrus Salmon & Shrimp Delight (serves 2)
Ingredients
Seafood
- 2 salmon fillets (5–6 oz each)
- ½ lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined
Citrus Sauce
- Zest of 1 orange + 1 lemon
- Juice of 1 orange
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- Salt & black pepper
- Pinch chili flakes (optional)
Finish
- 1 tbsp butter (optional, for gloss)
- Fresh parsley or dill
Instructions
- Make the sauce
Whisk zest, citrus juices, olive oil, honey, garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, and chili flakes. - Season seafood
Lightly season salmon and shrimp with salt and pepper. - Cook salmon
Heat a skillet over medium heat with a little oil.
Sear salmon skin-side down 4–5 minutes, flip, cook 2–3 minutes more. Remove and keep warm. - Cook shrimp
In the same pan, cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove. - Glaze
Pour the citrus sauce into the pan; simmer 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
Stir in butter if using. - Serve
Plate salmon and shrimp, spoon glaze over top, garnish with herbs and extra zest.
