Chocolate balls

Here’s a classic, no-bake treat — chocolate balls (also called chocolate truffles, energy balls, or “chokladbollar” in Swedish style). Sweet, rich, and super easy to make!


🍫 Classic Chocolate Balls (No-Bake)

Ingredients (Makes 12–16 balls)

  • 1 ½ cups (150 g) crushed cookies or graham crackers (digestive biscuits work well)
  • ½ cup (50 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar or powdered sugar
  • ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2–3 tbsp milk (to bind)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: 2 tbsp finely chopped nuts or coconut flakes

Coating options:

  • Sprinkles
  • Shredded coconut
  • Cocoa powder
  • Crushed nuts

⭐ Instructions

  1. Mix ingredients:
    In a bowl, combine crushed cookies, cocoa powder, sugar, and butter.
    Add milk and vanilla extract and mix until the dough is sticky but moldable.
  2. Shape into balls:
    Use your hands to roll about 1–2 tbsp of dough into small balls.
  3. Coat:
    Roll the balls in your choice of coating — sprinkles, coconut, or cocoa.
  4. Chill:
    Place on a tray and refrigerate for 30–60 minutes until firm.

⭐ Tips

  • Use softened butter to make mixing easier.
  • For a fudgier version, melt chocolate and mix in instead of cocoa powder.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
